Hi, everyone! I just wanted to drop a quick note here to let you know that I am very excited to be writing for two additional publications, in case you’ve made through my entire blog and want to read even more of my work.
First, I have been brought on as a writer for Eat the Planet, a well-respected website dedicated to educating people about the wide diversity of edible wild plants and fungi out there. My articles profile various species, where to find them, how to prepare them, etc. You can read my articles there at https://eattheplanet.org/author/rebeccalexa/
More locally, I am now a biweekly writer for Coast Weekend, which highlights goings-on and news in the region where the Columbia River meets the Pacific Ocean. My work explores the natural history of our region. While there’s not a link specifically to all of my articles, you can read my inaugural piece on the hibernation habits of black bears at https://www.discoverourcoast.com/coast-weekend/the-curious-hibernation-habits-of-north-coast-black-bears/article_c7877d2a-40da-11ec-b1a0-2776261a0b3a.html
I am available for hire writing nature-themed nonfiction and educational pieces, either one-time or on a regular basis; you can contact me at naturalist(at)rebeccalexa(dot)com to discuss further.
